Join Yak Academy’s online community and get connected.  Expand your world language community! 

 

On playgrounds all over the world, kids and parents form new and exciting friendships.  Through these friendships, play and learning expand.  Our virtual playground is like one, big world playground—where kids, parents, and experts from all over the world come together to connect, learn, and play.

 

The world is becoming more and more interconnected.  Coming in 2011, our “Get Connected” space will feature the following ways to connect:

 

ePen Pal
Kids can find an ePen Pal across the globe for fun, expanded learning, sharing cultural stories and information, or just to make a global buddy.

 

ePlaygroups
Kids and parents can coordinate and join global playdates with groups of children around the world.  Organizations and schools across the globe will host and exchange playdates with our Yak Academy community.

 

Chat
Parents will be able to chat with each other to swap stories, insights, or simple daily conversation.

 

Ask An Expert
Members of the Yak Academy community will be able to ask our child development and world language specialists questions online.  Whether you want to talk to an expert live online or post a question for follow-up, our Yak gurus are there for you.

 

Forum
Moms and Dads can join the Yak forum to share stories, explore issues, share tips and resources, or simply connect with other parents to expand their community and support resources.

 

Parent Groups
Parents will be able to find local and national parent groups to visit or join, providing yet another way to learn, play, and connect.

 

World Language Resources
Kids and parents will be able to find world language resources across the globe to foster learning and have fun.
